Trudeau Institute and SUNY Upstate Global Health Institute Host the 2026 Dengue Endgame Summit in Saranac Lake, NY
Saranac Lake, NY (September 15, 2026) – The Trudeau Institute, Inc., a nonprofit biomedical research institute committed to advancing groundbreaking discoveries in immunology and infectious diseases, together with the SUNY Upstate Global Health Institute, a leader in disease mitigation for New York, U.S. service members, and the global community, are co-hosting the fourth Annual Dengue Endgame Summit. The event takes place September 15-17, 2026, at the historic Hotel Saranac in Saranac Lake, NY. This summit marks a critical milestone in global efforts to combat dengue and other vector-borne diseases.
Now in its fourth year, the Dengue Endgame Summit convenes leading experts from academia, government, industry, and affected regions worldwide. Dengue fever continues to pose a pressing global health threat, with an estimated 96 million symptomatic cases and 20,000 to 40,000 deaths annually. The summit will address recent breakthroughs in dengue vaccines, antivirals, therapeutics, biologics, and innovative vector control strategies, which have generated new optimism for disease control.
Despite these advancements, the battle against dengue unfolds against the backdrop of climate change, rapid urbanization, increased global travel, and ongoing viral evolution. These factors have contributed to record-breaking outbreaks, escalating morbidity and mortality rates, and underscore the urgent need for coordinated action.
